Warranty and Consumer Guarantees
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Products sold by Drive4K come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. These guarantees apply automatically and are separate from any manufacturer warranty.
What the guarantees generally cover
Consumer guarantees can include that products are of acceptable quality, match their description, are fit for a purpose made known before purchase, and have clear title. If a product fails to meet a guarantee, the available remedy depends on the type and seriousness of the problem.
Manufacturer warranties
Some products may also include a manufacturer warranty. If a product page, box or manual mentions a manufacturer warranty, that warranty is an extra promise from the manufacturer. It does not replace your Australian Consumer Law rights or Drive4K’s responsibility as the seller.
Dash cams, screens and installation
Car electronics must be installed and used safely. Hardwire kits, fuse taps and parking-mode setups should be fitted according to the product instructions, and professional installation may be appropriate if you are not confident working with vehicle electrics.
Drive4K does not guarantee that dash cam footage will prove liability, win a dispute, prevent theft, or record every incident. Footage quality and usefulness depend on the product, settings, placement, lighting, weather, vehicle condition and what the camera can see.
Repairs and data
Before sending a device for assessment or repair, remove or back up memory cards and personal data where practical. Repairs or replacements may involve resetting the product or replacing parts.
